Everyone loves veil! Even the Eygptians are doing more of it. But what makes the difference between a superb, memorable, moving veil piece and one that’s…well, not? There is a secret! And no, it’s not necessarily the veil you’re using! In fact, each different type of veil has an advantage all its own. So what is the secret? Shakira reveals it in this class—along with movements and concepts pulled from several generations—including some techniques that have been nearly ‘lost’ today! Which veils do what better? What emotional statements can you make with each one? What are the technique points that really make a veil step? All of this is included, plus archetypal images, different scenarios and attitudes that give your dance depth, meaning and expressiveness! If you would like to perform, we would like to see you!!! Groups and solos welcome. Time limit: 5 minutes solo and 8 minutes troupe.
Bring a lunch and/or a treat to share for the snack attack table.
(Fast food is also available nearby.)

Bring your flyers! There will be a Promoting You table for everyone to share.
